A high concept and low budget horror film ‘ Dobaara: See Your Evil’ is going to release this weekend (2nd June). It’s official trailer published on May 8th on youtube hasn’t gathered much praise. Being an adaptation/remake of Hollywood movie ‘Oculus’, the audience seems to have already lost interest after watching its trailer. Let’s see what happens next!
This Hollywood turned Bollywood horror, has left the audience dissatisfied as they say it’s more or less copied. Comments on B4U Motion Pictures official youtube channel, state that the viewers would prefer watching ‘Oculus’, again rather than its Bollywood remake. Well, that says a lot!

Written and directed by Mike Flanagan in 2013, ‘Oculus’ has been a cult classic horror movie.Dobaara produced by Relativity Media & Intrepid Pictures is an adaptation of it. Oculus, counted as one of the scariest movies in Hollywood, had a huge fan following. Now it’s for the Indian Cinema to see what Dobaara has in store.
Prawaal Raman’s Comeback
After having directed movies like Darna Mana Hai and Gayab, this movie is a comeback for director Prawaal Raman. To better the viewers connect, Raman has tried to Indianize this movie. Rest it’s for the viewers to decide that how would they relate to it.
The recently revealed teaser starts off with a wretched mirror covered by a satin cloth, set in an eerie-looking room. This mirror is believed to be haunted and has led to several horrific events in the past.
The story revolves around the mysteries behind the mirror and the attempt of the brother-sister duo to break its ominous reign. Movie’s storyline also throws light upon the emotional turmoil of the siblings related to their parents killing.
With the release of Dobaara on 2nd June, Dear Maya starring Manisha Koirala, might deviate the audience. This serious drama film, happens to pose a tough competition. As audience would prefer watching an entirely new movie featuring a unique story, compared to a remake of an already existing one.
